We’re thrilled to share details of our latest project completed for the Vale of Rheidol Railway in Aberystwyth. Once again entrusted with providing the mechanical package, we were delighted to contribute to their newest endeavor, the construction of the new museum building.

This exciting addition to the railway’s infrastructure is set to house and exhibit some of the world’s most beloved steam locomotives. Our role involved ensuring optimal conditions within the building, particularly regarding space heating. It was crucial to maintain consistent and suitable temperatures for both the preservation of the locomotives and the comfort of visitors.

For this purpose, we selected Powrmatic’s cabinet heater, known for its efficient forced air distribution. Attention to detail was paramount, especially concerning the appearance of the installation. It was imperative that our work complemented the aesthetics of the building and its precious contents.

To achieve this, the cabinet heater underwent a bespoke painting process at the factory, ensuring seamless integration with the museum’s interior. Additionally, a custom flue was meticulously manufactured to provide the perfect finishing touch to the installation.

This project is a testament to our dedication to not only meeting functional requirements but also enhancing the overall ambiance and visual appeal of the spaces we work in. We’re proud to have played a part in bringing warmth and comfort to the Vale of Rheidol Railway’s newest attraction.
